Location: Custer State Park
Volksmarches are non-competitive walks along pre-marked routes. Teaming up with the Black Hills Volkssport Association, Custer State Park offers a 6.2 mile seasonal trail for interested hikers.
The trail begins at the Badger Hole located approximately ½ mile south of US Highway 16A on Badger Clark Road (CSP Rd 9). In order to ensure your safety and comfort along the trail, the park encourages you to review the directions before departing.
All participants need to register and obtain a trail map at the Peter Norbeck Visitor Center before departing on the hike. Registration is available everyday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. NOTE: Between September 15-30, registration will be available between 9 a.m. 3 p.m. There are a variety of fees associated with this seasonal event: $2 - Hike Only, $3 - Credit Only, $4 - Credit and "B" Award.
